Karma yoga is the spiritual practice of “selfless action performed for the benefits of others. Karma yoga is a path to reach moksha (spiritual liberation) through work.

It is rightful action without being attached to fruits or being manipulated by what the results might be, a dedication to one’s best while being neutral to rewards or outcomes such as success or failure.

Karma yoga does not mean forfeiture of emotions or desires, rather it means action driven by “equanimity, balance”, with “dispassion, disinterest”, avoiding “one-sidedness, fear, craving favouring self or one group or clan, self-pity, self-aggrandizement or any form of extreme reactiveness”.

Following verses of Bhagwat Geeta related to Karma Yoga:-

This verse explains karma yoga ( follower of the discipline of work), and Sankhya yogi (followers of the discipline of knowledge).

The first line refers to karma yogi, Shree Krishna says that mere restraint from work does not result in freedom from the karmic reaction.

The mind always thinks about fruitive thoughts, and since spiritual work is also a form of karma, it binds in karmic reaction, just a physical work does. A true Karm Yogi must learn to work and spend their energy on a good thing, more attention for their work without any attachment to the fruits of actions.

Our duty is only to do not in what we get? This required knowledge is intellect. Hence philosophic knowledge is also necessary for success in karma Yog.

In the second line refers to Sankhya Yog, Shree Krishna declares that the Sankhya Yogi cannot attain the state of knowledge merely by renouncing the world and becoming a monk(sant).

They renounce everything of the world, spend their whole life in worship and attached their mind to our Lord. One may give up a physical object of the senses, but true knowledge cannot awaken as long as our mind remains impure (full of negative thoughts).

Nobody can remain inactive for even a moment. Everyone is forced to act by their modes of Nature.

Both the verses are similar, in these verses explain our action which is performed in our daily life. We think that actions refer only to professional work, and not to daily activities like eating, drinking, bathing, sleeping, waking and thinking.

When we renounce our profession, we think we are not performing actions. But Lord Krishna considered all the activities performed by our body, mind and tongue as actions.

Our body never stop performing when we fall asleep, the mind is still engaged in dreaming; and also in deep sleep our heart and other bodily organs are functioning.

For human beings inactivity is an impossible state to reach, since the mind-intellect mechanism is compelled by its own make-up of three gunas (sattva, rajas and tamas) to perform work in the world.

The mind attains peace who, abandoning all desires, moves about without losing, without a sense of mind and without egoism.

In this world, everyone has busy making money and when he comes in the last stage of life, they were searching; where be find peace?

You work hard to making money but don’t busy too much because it’s important to spend time with yourself and loved ones and does meditation to becoming a peaceful life. In every morning prayer to god for giving this life.

But nowadays everyone ignores these things, not everyone attains peace.

Egoism is the path of hell. If you have an ego, you can’t find peace.

Bhagwat Geeta is the way to make our life happy and successful. Bhagwat Geeta gives us a path to living a life more secure with controlling our mind and thoughts. Also, Bhagwat Geeta talks about the various path of spirituality such as the right action (karma yoga), devotion (Bhakti Yoga), and knowledge (jnana Yoga).

Here we will be discussed about Karma yoga, it depends upon what we do? And why we do? It only depends on good and bad. Also in our karma.

In every article, I suggested you read Bhagwat Geeta to becoming a good person. I give you a suggestion to add Bhagwat Geeta to your daily routine, read-only 2–3 pages daily in your free time. I think you feel more comfortable after reading Bhagwat Geeta.

“ The Key to your future is hidden in your daily routine”.
